MicroFSMA involves developing a microfluidic-based assay to isolate quality sperm from human semen specimens. The technology contains a PDMS-free microfluidic chip integrated with a computational framework. Microfluidics chip facilitates the separation of highly DNA intact quality sperm cells, and a computational framework provides the automated kinematics of swimming of sperm cells. The project was granted to Cherry Biotech, where the founder of Béez leads the project development. Further, we aim to translate the MicroFSMA project into a commercial product, particularly for quality sperm cell separation and semen analysis.
