The project was initiated with the MicroFSMA, an EU H2020-funded project that employs microfluidic-based assay to isolate quality sperm from human semen specimens. The project was granted to Cherry Biotech, where the founder of Béez, Dr. Shukla, leads the project development. The successful conception of MicroFSMA encouraged the creation of Béez.
